How to Use
This document will go over the functions of the post process material and how to use them to easily create a sci-fi inspired scene.
Base Lighting
These parameters control the base values of the post process material. They are most effective in controlling the lighting when fog is turned ON.
The Black, Middle, Midpoint, and White values function as a traditional levels adjustment like you would use in photoshop.
Painterly Effect
The painterly effect is a combination of two aspects, a seamless painted texture affecting the values of the scene, as well as a Kuwahara filter applied over everything.
The Texture Scale parameters affect the scaling of the painted texture. At it’s default settings, the image is largest for the shadows and smallest for the highlights.
The Color Parameters tint the painted texture. It is a very subtle effect currently.
The Radius X and Radius Y affect the Kuwahara filter. The number refers to the number of pixels included in each sample of the effect.
